Skins,
for their innumerous qualities have been used since ancient times in the
creation of various articles: bags, shoes, belts, etc. Its exceptional
characteristics, resistance, transpiration, adaptability and flexibility
along with its admirable aesthetic quality, are the result of handmade
experimental techniques that have made this natural product an incomparable
and irreplacable raw material of its kind.
For these reasons, our laboratory that had specialized for many years in the
worksmanship of belts, decided from 1978 to orientate its own production
towards a totally handmade manufacture, its strong point being skins due to
their particular characteristics, especially reptile skins. Reptile skins or
more significantly those of crocodile and lizardare infact the only skins
able to guarantee apart from the qualities already mentioned, the perogative
of beauty indispensable in a product of elegance and finesse as a top
quality belt.
The
predominant skins used in our creations belong to the following species:
- Alligator Missipiensis;
- Cayman Crocodilus Crocodilus;
- Cayman Crocodilus Fuscus;
- Varanus Niloticus;
- Varanus Salvator.
The use and trading of the above are authorized by CITES
(Convention on International Trade in Endangered
Species of wild fauna and flora): an international treaty that
safeguards flora and fauna that are dying species, in force from 1975 of
which 145 countries are members.

T he
skin obtained from the alligator's tail, differs itself because of the different design of the scales, and
due to the scratches received during combat on dry land,
infact the crocodile as well as using its tail to move in
water, uses it also to defend itself.
These particulars along with a
pronounced stitching and a buckle that is not so classical give the belt a
sportive but still elegant look.
This
skin is not easily available, infact in the
colour
chart there are only three colours;
black, chestnut brown and brandy.
The last colour has to be accepted as is, sometimes light and sometimes dark.
